Think of Little Sprouts as a home away from home. We strive to develop the 'Whole Child' - nurturing mental, physical and spiritual growth.
At Little Sprouts Preschool we plant seeds of Love, Kindness and Creativity, inspiring education through hands on play and learning activities.
We provide exceptional care, in a loving and supportive environment, where children blossom.
We are a nature play, Mindfulness based program, committed to a hands-on approach where children are encouraged to explore and use their wild imaginations. Our curriculum is diverse and rich in content. The program is designed to nurture social and emotional growth, as children learn their basic academic skills including:

Math: counting, number recognition and patterns

Early Literacy: Storytelling, print, book awareness, and playing with words (rhyming, clapping, stomping out syllables).

Science: exploration, observation, nature adventures, gardening and hands on experiments.
​
Mindfulness Enrichment programs daily: Arts & Crafts, Music, Dance, Mindfulness tools and Yoga.
These concepts are presented in playful, developmentally appropriate, creative ways.
Hello,
My name is Michelle Cleland. I am the founder, director and head teacher at Little Sprouts Preschool.
​
My program began in March 2006, when my eldest daughter was ready for preschool and I realized most choices lacked the creativity and values I hoped for in early education. To ensure the best care for my child, I took it upon myself to research and develop a wholistic, play based program, that became the foundation for Little Sprouts.
Through my Early Childhood Education studies, and my Mindfulness educator training, I've developed a program to develop the “Whole Child.” I focus on children's academic, social, and emotional skills, while simultaneously teaching them ways to connect to their own hearts and the natural world around them.
I strongly believe in the proverb “it takes a village to raise a child”. My goal is to keep us all working together as a village. Our collaboration will help our Little Sprouts grow a solid foundation. Building the skills they need to blossom to their full potential on their path.
